Flight Departures at Bradley International Airport

All departures at Bradley International Airport are handled in Terminal A (as well as domestic arrivals) while Terminal B handles international arrivals. Since all departures are from Terminal A this is where all the facilities are found too.

Parking at Bradley Airport

Bradley Airport has several options for parking located nearby the terminal.

The covered Parking Garage is connected with Terminal A through covered bridges on the third floor and via the crosswalk on ground level. It is divided into short and long-term parking.

Express Lot 1 is an open air parking lot located a few minutes’ walk from both terminals and the Intra Lot Shuttle will assist travelers with trunk to trunk luggage service from the car to the shuttle and then drive the traveler to the Lot 1 Elevator which connects with the ticketing level of the terminal via the Sheraton Hartford corridor.

Park & Walk Lot 2 is located next to the Express Lot, also within a few minutes’ walk, but there is no shuttle service available here.

The other lots are located a bit further away with complimentary shuttle service 24/7. This includes the overflow lot that is mainly used during the holiday season.

Transfers at Bradley Airport

Rental Cars – All rental car companies at Bradley Airport have offices in different locations around the airport and they offer individual and complimentary shuttle buses for transfer between the respective office and the airport. Return the rental car as instructed and get on the shuttle and conveniently arrive at the airport. The shuttles run during the company’s opening hours. Ask the company directly for travel time, but it is usually less than 10 minutes, not including any waiting time for the shuttle to depart.

Buses – From downtown Hartford travelers can take the 30-Bradley Flyer shuttle that runs every day of the week. The journey takes around 30-35 minutes and costs less than $2.00 for a single journey.

From Windsor or Windsor Locks travelers can take Route 24 to the airport. It runs during the weekdays from early morning until late evening, but there is no service during the weekends. More information about buses to and from Bradley Airport.

Trains – It is possible to take either the Hartford Line or Amtrak as close as to Windsor Locks or Windsor, but from there travelers have to transfer from the respective Railroad Station to the airport either by bus or by taxi. More details on train services close to Bradley Airport.

Taxis – Taxis will drop the traveler off outside Bradley Airport at the ticketing area on departures level.

Ride Shares, Limousines and Shuttles – Passengers will be dropped off outside the ticketing area, on departures level.

Drop-offs – It is still allowed to drop travelers off on curbside of the airport as long as the vehicle isn’t parked or left unattended. If the driver wishes to accompany the traveler into the airport, short-term parking is available in the Parking Garage as well as in both the open air lots located in between the two terminals, Express Lot 1 and Park & Walk Lot 2 for the fee of the time parked.

Smoking at Bradley Airport

Smoking is prohibited inside the airport and is only allowed in the designated smoking areas located outside the terminal.

Pet Relief Areas at Bradley Airport

There are two pet relief areas located one on each side of the terminal on Arrivals level, and one inside on airside on the Departures level.

ATMs and readyStations at Bradley Airport

A total of 6 ATMs/cash machines can be found in Terminal A. One is located on landside on the ticketing level, next to Door 3, one is in the Baggage Claim area, and the other 4 are located in the Concourses on airside/post security.

There are also 2 cash-to-card machines to be found in the ticketing area of the terminal. These can be used converting cash into credit on a prepaid credit card received through the machine.

Food, Beverage and Shopping at Bradley Airport

Bradley-Hartford International Airport has a lot to offer while the traveler is waiting to board the flight, at least once through to the secure side of the airport. The selection of both places to eat and drink and shops to enjoy can be found both in the common main area on airside, but also in the concourses of the terminal.
