Flight Arrivals at Bradley International Airport

Bradley International Airport has two passenger terminals, Terminal A which handles all departures and domestic arrivals, and Terminal B, also known as the International Arrivals Terminal, handles international arrivals. There are no facilities available in Terminal B, but Terminal A is only a few minutes’ walk away.

Transfers at Bradley International Airport

Rental Cars – The car rental companies at Bradley International Airport are located in different locations around the airport area. They each have a complimentary shuttle, operating during the companies’ opening hours, between the terminal and their office. The shuttles are found outside the Baggage Claim area.

It is recommended to arrange for the rental car in advance of arriving at the airport as there are no walk-up counters there.

Buses – The buses at Bradley Airport stop at the outer roadway. The 30-Bradley Flyer shuttle runs between the airport and downtown Hartford every day of the week with departures around every 40 minutes during the weekdays and Saturdays, while on early mornings, late in the evenings and on Sundays they run approximately every hour. The journey takes around 30 minutes and the fare is low and payable in cash, as close to exact change as possible and no bills over $10.

Route 24 connects the airport with Windsor and Windsor Locks, including the Railroad stations in the respective location. This route only operates during weekdays beginning in the early mornings and ending in the late evenings. The journey takes around 20 minutes and the fare is the same as on the 30-Bradley Flyer bus.

TaxisTaxi cabs are found outside the Arrivals area at Bradley Airport. They are operated by different companies with permission to service the airport. The journey to Hartford takes around 20 minutes and costs around $45.

Trains – There is no train station at the airport, but both Windsor and Windsor Locks RR Stations are located within a 10 minute drive from Bradley Airport. Both RR Stations service the Hartford Line between New Haven, CT (further south), and Springfield, MA (just north of the airport), as well as Amtrak going north and south from the area. In New Haven transfers can be made to connections to locations like New York City, as well as to other train lines.

Ride Shares, Limousines and Shuttles at Bradley International Airport - Uber and Lyft are the two rideshare companies with permits to service the airport and the travelers coming through it. They usually have drivers waiting within a 5 minute drive from the terminal so the traveler can order the ride, shared or alone, through the company’s app once luggage has been collected from the baggage claim area.

Private transfers, limousines and shuttles have to be pre-arranged before the traveler’s arrival.

ATM’s and Cash-to-Card machines at Bradley International Airport

There are a total of 6 ATMs/cash machines located in Terminal A of the airport. 4 of these are located on airside, post security control, but one is located in the baggage claim area, adjacent to Door 3 across from the Delta Baggage Claim Carousel, and there is also one located on the ticketing level, adjacent to Door 3 across from the Aer Lingus ticket counter.

There are 2 machines converting cash to credit located in the ticketing lobby of Terminal A. These machines allow travelers to deposit cash onto a prepaid readyCard, using the so called readyStations.

Once the traveler has collected their luggage and is on landside they can let the greeter know they are ready to be collected on the curbside.

If the greeter wishes to park the car while waiting for the traveler the parking garage is a good option, but all parking lot’s offer short term parking and several are on a short walking distance.
