Bradley International Airport Transfers

When travelers arrive at Bradley-Hartford International Airport, they have several options of transfer, but before it is time to head to the different options, please make sure all personal belongings and luggage has been collected from the baggage claim area.

At BDL all ground transportation can be found outside the Arrivals area of Terminal A, and taxis can also be found outside Terminal B, the International Arrivals Terminal.

Transfers at Bradley International Airport

Rental Cars – The different rental car companies at Bradley Airport have separate offices located in the surrounding areas. The companies offer complimentary shuttle buses for transfer between the airport and the company office. These shuttles are found outside the Arrivals of Terminal A, and sometimes outside Terminal B as well. It is always a good idea to book the rental vehicle in advance of arrival since customers have to get on a shuttle to get to the rental desk.

Buses – The 30-Bradley Flyer is a bus route provided by CTTransit and it services the airport and downtown Hartford on a semi-express route. It runs daily with departures roughly every 40 minutes during weekdays and Saturdays and roughly every hour during the early morning hours, late nights and Sundays. Tickets can be purchased on the bus using cash or online using a card. The journey between downtown Hartford and the airport takes approximately 30-35 minutes.

Route 24 is a route serving the airport and Windsor and Windsor Locks during weekdays beginning early in the evening until late evening. Taxis – Taxi ranks are located outside the arrivals area, provided by several different companies permitted to serve the airport. The journey to Windsor or Windsor Locks takes around 10 minutes and will cost less or around $20 depending on exact location of the destination. Trains – Whilst there is no train station located at the airport, there are several nearby. Windsor and Windsor Locks Railroad Stations are around 10 minutes away by car/taxi and less than 20-30 minutes by bus. Hartford Union station is around 25 minutes by car/taxi and 35 by bus.

All train stations serve the Hartford Line and Amtrak with lines going north or south. In the south they connect with other train lines in New Haven, including connecting Connecticut with New York City and other areas of the country. Limousines, Shuttles and Ride Shares at Bradley International Airport

These options of transfer are available to travelers through their own organizing. Limousines and shuttles have to be pre-arranged, while the ride share companies, Uber and Lyft, are normally available within a few minutes of ordering.
