Buses from Bradley International Airport with Bus Routes and Times
CTTransit, the Connecticut Department of Transportation, provides two bus routes to and from Bradley-Hartford International Airport, the 30-Bradley Flyer and Route 24.
Single tickets can be purchased with cash on the bus through the farebox. As exact change as possible is required, although it is possible to get change for up to a $10 bill.
30-Bradley Flyer at Bradley International Airport
The 30-Bradley Flyer is a semi-express bus service between Bradley International Airport and downtown Hartford provided for a low local bus fare of $1.75 for a single one-way journey.
As of August 22, 2021, the route operates with departures approximately every 40 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays, and approximately every hour during the early morning hours, late at night and on Sundays.
The route, being semi-express, has limited stops on the trip which takes around 30 minutes between the airport and downtown Hartford.
Passengers are responsible for their own luggage if they have any. This includes loading and unloading.
Buses stop on the outer roadway outside Terminal A, the main terminal. It is recommended to be present at the bus stop at least five minutes before departure.
Route 24 at Bradley International Airport
This route, also provided by CTTransit, is a new local route that came into effect on August 22, 2021 and it connects the airport with Windsor Locks, Poquonock and Windsor.
The route is not an express route and will stop at several different stops on the journey with the route beginning at Windsor Railroad Station and ending at Windsor Locks Railroad Station, both which are connected with the Hartford Line as well as with Amtrak or the other way around. The railroad stations connect the airport with Springfield to the north and New Haven, and Yale University, to the south.
The route’s departures are somewhat adjusted to fit arriving trains on both ends and will hold for up to 10 minutes for trains arriving late before it departs.
The route is in service on weekdays only with 12-13 departure times beginning around 6.00 AM and ending around 11.00 PM (23.00).
